As a brand selling primarily in retail, Halfday was looking to create a digital experience that encompassed their new branding, and that spoke to their young and nostalgic aesthetic. While this project was not about conversion we did not compromise on usability.

Client Brief

Our website is basically only jpeg images. It’s slow, unshoppable, and broken on mobile. Plus, we have a new brand to show off and need awareness more than conversions as most of our sales happen offline.

Challenges

  • Maintain strong brand tone without compromising UX

Custom design system

We translated Halfday’s new brand identity into a bold, conversion-ready UI. The design system was built to support playful visuals, strong hierarchy, and flexible content blocks.

Custom theme development

We designed and developed a completely custom Shopify theme from the ground up. Every layout and interaction was built to match the brand’s playfulness.

Performance with personality

The final site features high-impact visuals with mobile-first UX. It’s fast, easy to manage, and supports product launches and campaigns.

Stickers

Stickers were used strategically throughout the design. More than decoration, they helped create a cohesive visual look and tied together elements that might have otherwise felt disconnected.

Dynamic Color Scheme

Inspired by the packaging design concept, each product has its own color scheme, and the product page is set up so the client can assign color schemes on a per product basis.

UX Focused

Although the overall look and feel is playful, the product form is intentionally straight forward in comparison. This ensures that users can focus on the necessary information needed to make a purchase.
